Number 808, a store in Hale‘iwa Town Center, captures the essence of the North Shore. It is where nostalgia of the past meets the present, masterfully presented against the backdrop of Hale‘iwa’s iconic surf culture to create a unique shopping experience.
Store owner Capucine “Cappy” Tseu, born and raised on the North Shore, offers an authentic perspective of her hometown and heritage. For nearly 10 years, she has made Number 808 her storefront to freely share her love for the North Shore with customers from all over the world. Amidst vintage items, you’ll attire proudly emblazoned with “808,” Hawai‘iʻs area code.

There is something special about Julianne Dahl, owner of Pakaloha, that immediately puts you at ease. She has been a part of the Hale‘iwa Town Center ‘ohana for the past decade. Julie, as she prefers to be called, epitomizes the spirit of the North Shore of O‘ahu, every word and thought awash with aloha.
“We’re a big surf community and it feels like the ‘real’ Hawai‘i,” Julie says proudly. “We’re what visitors are looking for when they venture outside of Waikiki.”
